University of Finance and Management in Warsaw is involved in many scientific research projects. We have numerous partners in government and local government organizations, and closely cooperate with many Polish and foreign academic institutions.
One of our strenghts is our teaching and research personnel providing high educational standards through applying modern teaching methods, up-to-date equipment and professional approach. Students are given a chance to confront their knowledge against practical background by receiving hands-on-training in various institutions in both domestic and foreign universities.
Besides many scientific publications in book format, Alma Mater is engaged in publishing two renown specialist journals:
- Contemporary Economics
„Contemporary Economics" is an academic quarterly edited by the University of Finance and Management in Warsaw and by Vizja Press & IT. The quarterly is addressed to academicians, economic policymakers as well as to students of finance, accounting, management and economics. In particular, the quarterly contains academic manuscripts on problems of contemporary economics, finance, banking, accounting and management examined from various research perspectives.
High quality of submitted manuscripts is required. We welcome manuscripts in English. Manuscripts in Polish, only of high quality, will be translated to English at editor´s expense and admitted to the reviewing procedure.
- Advances in Cognitive Psychology
"Advances in Cognitive Psychology" is an open access journal devoted to the scientific study of the human mind. The journal's broad focus encompasses the behavioral, cognitive, and brain sciences. ACP publishes empirical studies, theoretical papers, and critical reviews. Tutorial papers and methodological articles will also be considered. The journal occasionally publishes special issues on topics of widespread interest. The language of the journal is English. Currently ACP is indexed by major abstracting services including PsychINFO, DOAJ and EBSCO.
University of Finance and Management is located at 55 Pawia Street in Warsaw. The seat has more than 9,000 m2 in size. It houses several dozen of lecture rooms, laboratories and classrooms with over 300 LAN computer stations with fast internet access. Available on the premises, there is online space allowed to anybody who feels willing to contribute to online exchange of opinions and ideas on the educational process and who seek for teaching materials.
The university is proud of its large library with a great number of computer stations allowing online access to professional publications. We spare a lot of efforts to expand and we have just opened a very modern scientific point - 'Metrology Laboratory' and several new labs are under construction. The university is always prepared to lend assistance to all those who need a decently priced accommodation in the vicinity.
